What we collect

The calculators on SMBkits (profit margin, break-even, invoicing, and similar tools) run entirely in your browser. Numbers and text you type into a calculator are never sent to our servers or stored by us — closing the tab clears everything. Some tools may save your inputs to your own browser's local storage purely for your convenience; that data stays on your device.

A separate set of tools generates text using Google's Gemini API (for example, the review reply and quote generators). For those tools only, the text you enter is sent to Google to produce a result. We don't store that text ourselves, and we don't use it for anything other than generating the response shown to you. Each generator page makes clear when a tool works this way.

The Local Competitor Map and Trade Area Analyzer works differently. The address you type is sent to Geoapify to suggest and locate it and to find nearby businesses (OpenStreetMap data), and the business type and location are sent to Google's Gemini API, which uses Google Maps data to list well-reviewed businesses and to write the analysis. Their services process that data under their own privacy policies. We don't store the addresses or results ourselves. The map is drawn with tiles loaded directly from OpenStreetMap's servers, so your browser contacts them (and receives your IP address) when the map is shown.

Advertising & cookies

SMBkits is supported by advertising, served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or optout.aboutads.info.

Analytics

We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are useful and which aren't. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you individually.
